Warrenton, Va. Hi-5 ABA CEO David Maddox has announced that effective April 1st, 2020 and through May 30th, the company is offering a deferral on royalty payments for all franchisees. Noting that all of the company’s BCBA owner-operators are experiencing drop-offs for both in-clinic and in-home sessions, Maddox felt strongly that Hi-5 ABA needed to show and extend support to the franchisees who do not benefit from special government programs since they haven’t been open a full twelve months.

During the announcement, the Hi-5 ABA CEO went on to mention that current franchisees now operating in California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts and Virginia must adjust to the unique local challenges that every ABA practice faces, but they won’t be doing it alone. The grace period on the royalty fee is designed to support the independent franchisees during the COVID-19 health crisis, allowing each owner to use the extra funds as they choose, including but not limited to: investments in Telehealth, special sick leave for employees, hardship grants, or direct contribution to local charities and needs.
