Hi-5 ABA Welcomes Mary Ann Tello of Laredo, Texas

In Laredo, Texas, the Rio Grande divides many families; half of a family may live in Texas, while the other half lives in Mexico.  Though that divides many, developmental disabilities and autism also isolate families from their loved ones.  Mary Ann Tello—a BCBA in Laredo—empathizes with those families’ pain and wants to help.  For years she fought for families as the local Advocacy Ambassador for Autism Speaks and helped further ABA in the school system.  She is now an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service provider with her own Hi-5 ABA franchise!

A Note from David Maddox, J.D., President of Hi-5 ABA

The Chinese symbol for “crisis” is a combination of two words–“danger” and “opportunity.”  We’ve suffered a health and economic crisis for several months now, with more trouble and uncertainty ahead.  Much conversation centers on various dangers, but let’s not neglect the inherent opportunities–opportunities which cannot only mitigate dangers, but also potentially leap-frog the chaos into a better situation than existed before the crisis.

Hi-5 ABA welcomes Michelle Hickman.  Michelle offers in-home ABA services to children with autism and related developmental disabilities.

Many BCBAs call rural towns “home,” but they take jobs in the suburbs or city because that’s where ABA businesses are predominantly located.  But, there are still many underserved families in the country who would benefit from ABA services.  Michelle Hickman is offering precisely that to families in Seymour, Indiana.  She opened her own Hi-5 ABA franchise so that she could provide ABA services to children in her hometown.
