Beth Boogholt has been a pillar in the ABA community across Michigan for the last decade, working at a children’s hospital, university, school, local government, and a private ABA practice.  Boogholt says that “Her passion lies in helping families grow together in a team environment with the client and family at the center of the treatment.”  Her journey has led her to start her own practice with Hi-5 ABA in Grand Rapids. Baton Rouge, La. – 12/23/2020 – Three Fleur De Lis, an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Provider through Hi-5 ABA, hired Monica Valdez as its first BCBA.  Valdez will provide ABA services to include oversight of all treatment as well as the supervision of technicians working with clients receiving in-home therapy in Baton Rouge, La.

Hi-5 ABA Welcomes Mary Ann Tello of Laredo, Texas

In Laredo, Texas, the Rio Grande divides many families; half of a family may live in Texas, while the other half lives in Mexico.  Though that divides many, developmental disabilities and autism also isolate families from their loved ones.  Mary Ann Tello—a BCBA in Laredo—empathizes with those families’ pain and wants to help.  For years she fought for families as the local Advocacy Ambassador for Autism Speaks and helped further ABA in the school system.  She is now an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service provider with her own Hi-5 ABA franchise!

Paloma Academy in Melbourne, FL

Paloma Academy is a day school for children with behavioral disabilities opening in Melbourne, Florida.  The academy, partnering with Hi-5 ABA, offers compassionate evidence-based behavioral therapy to children, regardless of diagnosis.  The founders named the school Paloma because it means “Dove”– a symbol of peace.  “Paloma” also happens to be the name of Picasso’s youngest daughter.  Picasso was able to show unique beauty with each piece of art.  This academy wants to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of each child.

Hi-5 ABA welcomes new franchisee Dr. Keith Belton, BCBA-D, from Victorville, California.  When Keith wasn’t operating his restaurant franchise, he helped children in the neighboring school system work through behavioral struggles.  For years he worked during the day and went to school at night until he earned his BCBA and, ultimately, a doctorate.  Now, he owns a Hi-5 ABA franchise working full-time at something he loves to do.

Hi-5 ABA welcomes new franchisee Coach Mike Thomas of Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He has been a football coach and college scout for over two decades and has mentored many students.  They have attained their college aspirations because of their hard work and Mike’s help.  He has managed over a million dollars in scholarships to student-athletes.  Partnerships with schools and colleges have provided opportunities for students all across Louisiana and the south.  Mike knows how to see the value in the children and connect them with the right people to help them maximize their potential.
