Hi-5 ABA welcomes new franchisee Dr. Keith Belton, BCBA-D, from Victorville, California. When Keith wasn’t operating his restaurant franchise, he helped children in the neighboring school system work through behavioral struggles. For years he worked during the day and went to school at night until he earned his BCBA and, ultimately, a doctorate. Now, he owns a Hi-5 ABA franchise working full-time at something he loves to do.
BACB Ethics Rules over multiple relationships focus primarily upon limiting professional relationships with clients where personal relationships also exist with the client or with others related to the client. The underlying issue, however, is more than following the BACB rule. It’s about understanding “conflicts-of-interest,” where they arise, how they are managed, and when they become problems.
